2:22 – A Ghost Story is a acclaimed supernatural thriller written by British playwright, broadcaster, and podcast creator Danny Robins. Directed by Matthew Dunster, the play officially premiered in August 2021 at the Noël Coward Theatre in London's West End. The narrative centers on a woman named Jenny who becomes convinced her newly renovated home is haunted, as unsettling noises occur every night at precisely 2:22 a.m. Tensions build during a tense dinner party where skeptics and believers debate the paranormal while waiting up until 2:22 to uncover the truth.

The play has become a massive commercial and critical success, establishing itself as one of the most popular West End productions of recent years. Beloved for its clever blend of sharp domestic comedy, genuine jump scares, and a jaw-dropping twist ending, it earned three Laurence Olivier Award nominations, including Best New Play. Part of its widespread popularity stems from a savvy, rotating star-studded cast that has included Lily Allen, Tom Felton, Stephanie Beatriz, Cheryl, and Matt Willis. Holding a West End record for moving across multiple prominent London theaters to sustain its long run, 2:22 – A Ghost Story has expanded internationally, drawing packed houses across Europe, Australia, and North America.

It made its official U.S. premiere in late 2022 at the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles. Running from October 29 to December 4, 2022, the American staging recast the play's setting to Boston while retaining its high-octane suspense and sharp psychological drama. Maintaining its signature practice of assembling high-profile star casts, the U.S. production featured Constance Wu (Crazy Rich Asians) as Jenny, Finn Wittrock (American Horror Story) as her skeptic husband Sam, Anna Camp (Pitch Perfect) as Lauren, and Adam Rothenberg (Ozark) as Ben. The American premiere successfully proved that the play's universal blend of domestic tension, skepticism, and spine-chilling scares translated effortlessly to international audiences.

And now, it is making its official New York City premiere, arriving Off-Broadway at the Lucille Lortel Theatre in the West Village. The limited engagement begins previews on October 20, ahead of an official opening on November 5. Bringing the chilling supernatural thriller to a more intimate theater setting, the New York production features a notable cast that includes Anna Camp—reprising her acclaimed role as Lauren from the earlier Los Angeles run—alongside Finn Jones (Game of Thrones, Daredevil: Born Again).
